Annual Conference

The GCMAS hosts an annual meeting to stimulate and advance scientific knowledge, promote professional interaction and collaboration among society members, and advance the field of gait and clinical movement analysis in the clinical and research environments. The meeting is designed for orthopaedic surgeons, neurologists, developmental pediatricians, and physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians, as well as physical and occupational therapists, kinesiologists, biomedical/mechanical/electrical engineers, and others interested in human movement.

The 14th Annual Meeting of the Gait and Clinical Movement Analysis Society will be held in Denver, Colorado from March 10-13, 2009.

Awards

Several awards are presented at the annual conference to recognize exemplary scientific achievement. The Awards Committee is responsible for the selection and presentation of the Best Paper, Best Poster, and Young Investigator awards, as well as the nomination and presentation of Lifetime Achievement Awards. The committee is composed of members from across the professional disciplines associated with movement analysis, and each member serve a two-year term.
